Description

Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs.
Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
Optimize existing functionality to improve performance, including faster loading and more intelligent parsing.
Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to enhance product behavior.
Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.

Requirements

Experience as a senior software engineer working on product and infrastructure systems.
Strong systems-thinking approach with an emphasis on end-to-end design and simplicity.
Ability to work quickly, evaluate tradeoffs, and decide what can ship now versus later.
Comfort working in a high-growth, remote startup environment with a need for focus and autonomy.
Strong collaboration skills for working with designers, marketers, and product managers.
Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
