Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality to improve loading speed and parsing performance.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to enhance product performance.
  • Build and ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to create clear, reliable APIs and simple systems.
  • Support foundational services and SDKs that power the product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience in systems thinking and end-to-end design with an emphasis on simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth, remote startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable, but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Ability to provide links to a portfolio and LinkedIn when applying.
  • Interest in working on a product for users with learning differences is a plus.
  • US-based salary expectations aligned with the posted range of $140,000-$200,000 plus bonus and stock, depending on experience.
