Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and balance integration and UX tradeoffs.
  • Reduce project scope where appropriate to accelerate customer feedback.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms.
  • Build and ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs in Kotlin.
  • Work across product and infrastructure to create clear, reliable APIs and simple systems.

Requirements

  • Experience as a senior software engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong systems thinking with an emphasis on end-to-end design and simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Comfort working in a high-growth, remote startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable, but the role is focused on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
