Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK across product teams.
  • Optimize existing functionality to improve speed, loading, and parsing performance.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to enhance product behavior.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to build clear, reliable APIs and simple systems.
  • Contribute to foundational services and SDKs that support the core product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Senior-level software engineering experience.
  • Systems thinking with an emphasis on end-to-end design and simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, evaluate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Comfort working in a fast-growing, remote startup environment with the ability to know when to collaborate and when to work independently.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable, but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Ability to provide links to a portfolio and LinkedIn when applying.
