Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and deliver solutions through the cross-platform SDK.
  • Reduce project scope where possible to enable faster customer feedback and quicker delivery.
  • Navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across different product teams.
  • Optimize existing functionality to improve loading speed and parsing performance.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to enhance product performance.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Help maintain the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and building systems with an end-to-end, simplicity-focused approach.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Comfort working in a high-growth, remote startup environment with a need for both focus and collaboration.
  • Ability to collaborate with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Java experience is acceptable, but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
