Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK across product teams.
  • Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing more efficient abstractions and improving algorithms.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Help shape foundational services and SDKs that power the product experience across platforms.
  • Work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to design clear, reliable APIs and simple systems.

Requirements

  • Experience building software with a systems-thinking approach and a focus on end-to-end simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus what needs more time.
  • Comfort working in a busy, remote, high-growth startup environment and knowing when to be collaborative or heads-down.
  • Strong collaboration skills with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
  • Interest in building software that supports a product used by millions of people.
  • Ability to include portfolio and LinkedIn links when applying.
