Description

  • Design and maintain the OS and software stack behind trading hardware.
  • Build and support Python-based interface layers for controlling and monitoring hardware systems.
  • Develop software for STM processors embedded on prototype boards.
  • Manage and support a fleet of hardware systems in a live production environment.
  • Collaborate with hardware, infrastructure, and trading teams to ensure system performance.
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation and transition into embedded development and low-level hardware logic over time.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and hardware systems.
  • Proficiency in Python, including familiarity with relevant libraries and APIs.
  • Experience writing software in C/C++.
  • Creative problem-solving skills at the system level.
  • Ability to collaborate with developers and researchers.
  • Experience with low-level hardware/software interactions such as drivers, buses, pins, and registers (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret datasheets and electrical engineering schematics (preferred).
  • Familiarity with devices and drivers in Linux (preferred).
  • Experience with FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog and the Vivado suite of tools (preferred).
  • Knowledge of communication protocols, especially Ethernet (preferred).
  • Exposure to network equipment operating systems like Cisco IOS, Arista EOS, or Juniper MOS (preferred).
  • Experience working with high-performance trading network hardware, including packet- and circuit-switched systems (preferred).
