Description

  • Design, fabricate, and characterize antenna, feed, and RF front-end prototypes for phased arrays, gateways, and consumer wireless products.
  • Create electromagnetic simulation models of antennas, filters, and PCB layouts to evaluate hardware performance.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, DSP, software, and manufacturing teams to design and validate RF systems.
  • Create and test phased array alignment solutions.
  • Develop design validation and production test solutions for high-volume consumer products.
  • Write Python automation software to interface with units under test, test equipment, instrumentation, and documentation systems.
  • Own phased array, Wi‑Fi, and other RF systems for customer-facing hardware.
  • Own advanced parabolic antenna systems for gateways and ground stations deployed globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional RF experience with antennas or communication systems; internship and extracurricular experience may count.
  • 5+ years of experience with radio test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, and network analyzers.
  • 5+ years of professional programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering with an RF/antenna emphasis preferred.
  • Experience designing wireless communications systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of antenna theory and link budget analysis preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of RF active and passive components preferred.
  • Experience characterizing radio performance at microwave frequencies preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly cross-functional role preferred.
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines.
  • Must meet ITAR export-control eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible for the required authorizations.
