Description

  • Drive program-level decisions on RF system designs.
  • Research novel solutions for large-scale satellite RF systems.
  • Design, build, validate, and automate RF test benches for custom RF designs.
  • Develop modular RF test infrastructure and automation sequences in Python and C++ for design validation, qualification, and production.
  • Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, DSP, and software engineers to design and validate RF systems.
  • Create electromagnetic simulation models of hardware to evaluate performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of professional development experience in C/C++ or Python.
  • 1+ years of professional experience with radio test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, and network analyzers.
  • 1+ years of professional RF experience with antennas or communication systems.
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline (preferred).
  • Experience testing active and passive RF devices such as filters, amplifiers, mixers, and upconverters/downconverters.
  • Experience with RF concepts such as gain, linearity, P1dB, ACLR, EVM, PAE, S-parameters, and input/output matching.
  • Experience with software design principles, software architecture, design patterns, and unit/integration testing methodology.
  • Experience with environmental test methodologies and equipment such as thermal chambers and temperature forcing systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting interactions between software and hardware such as network devices and lab instrumentation.
  • Experience using Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with configuration management and version control software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.
  • Willingness to pursue a clearance if not already cleared.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Benefits

  • Pay range of $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year for RF Software Engineer/Level I.
  • Pay range of $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year for RF Software Engineer/Level II.
  • 10% active TS/SCI clearance differential, up to an additional $15,000 annually, once officially briefed into a classified program.
  • Eligibility for long-term incentives including company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards.
  • Potential discretionary bonuses and access to the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
