Description

  • Directly manage a team of software engineers.
  • Own prioritization, implementation, and delivery of a system roadmap.
  • Provide technical leadership focused on continuous improvement.
  • Track multiple priorities while maintaining alignment on project goals.
  • Develop highly reliable and available software systems.
  • Set and maintain high standards of excellence.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the company to support mission success.
  • Lead both technical and personnel development for the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a science discipline plus 3+ years of software development experience, or 6+ years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 1+ years of experience with object-oriented programming.
  • 1+ years of experience leading software teams or projects.
  • Programming experience in Python, C#, .NET, Go, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
  • Front-end experience in Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies.
  • 4+ years of experience building single-page web applications.
  • Experience designing software systems.
  • Experience with testing and infrastructure.
  • Experience profiling and improving application performance.
  • Domain expertise in manufacturing systems is preferred.
  • Strong desire to mentor and grow employees.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must be willing to travel when needed.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements for U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, refugee, or asylee status, or be eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
