Description

  • Operate failure analysis and reliability test equipment according to SOPs and lab processes to support root cause investigations of microelectronics failures.
  • Document test results, observations, and data clearly and accurately following prescribed procedures.
  • Communicate and resolve test-related issues by collaborating closely with engineering teams and specialists.
  • Support day-to-day operations of the reliability test lab for in-sourced and custom Starlink microelectronics products.
  • Assess, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on reliability test equipment, including thermal chambers, HAST systems, and temperature cycling systems.
  • Perform hands-on sample preparation tasks such as soldering, PCBA rework, and cross-sectioning for reliability testing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 1+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or technical laboratory environment.
  • 2+ years of microelectronics quality, reliability, or failure analysis experience preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field preferred.
  • Experience with soldering and PCBA rework best practices preferred.
  • Familiarity with reliability test standards such as JEDEC, IPC, or AEC-Q200, and environmental testing methods including thermal cycling, humidity, and mechanical stress preferred.
  • Practical experience working within a quality management system such as ISO 9001 preferred.
  • Experience using basic failure analysis tools such as optical microscopy or data logging preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom or ESD-controlled environment when required.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorization.
