Description

  • Work closely with finance, accounting, billing, and revenue teams to translate pain points into self-serve data solutions.
  • Own critical data integration pipelines and models that support accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage initiatives from design through execution with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Shape the financial data vision, roadmap, and organization-wide initiatives.
  • Mentor other team members and promote engineering excellence across the organization.
  • Define and standardize how financial data is modeled for reliable reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design shared datasets and drive technical decisions.
  • Build and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines for accounting and billing use cases.
  • Support monthly and quarterly book close processes, retailer invoicing, and internal/external financial reporting.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data or software engineering, with a focus on building financial data pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Strong knowledge of data infrastructure technologies including Python, Airflow, Spark, Iceberg, and Delta Lake in production environments.
  • Expert-level data modeling experience with complex financial data.
  • Expert with SQL and dbt (Data Build Tool).
  • Experience building high-quality, complex ETL/ELT pipelines, including accounting and billing pipelines.
  • Experience with data immutability, auditability, slowly changing dimensions, or similar concepts.
  • Experience communicating with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and shared datasets.
  • Ability to balance urgency with shipping high-quality, pragmatic solutions.
  • Experience working in a large codebase on a cross-functional team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow (preferred).
  • Experience with SOX-controlled data systems (preferred).

Benefits

  • Remote role with Flex First work flexibility.
  • Highly market-competitive compensation.
  • Base salary range of $220,000-$232,000 USD in CA, NY, CT, and NJ.
  • Base salary range of $211,000-$222,500 USD in WA.
  • Base salary range of $202,000-$213,000 USD in OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, and HI.
  • Base salary range of $183,000-$193,000 USD in all other states.
  • Eligible for a new hire equity grant.
  • Eligible for annual refresh equity grants.
