Description

  • Set technical direction and architect agentic-first subsystems, including services, data models, and agent/tool integrations.
  • Orchestrate multi-agent workflows across planning, implementation, testing, and review.
  • Own major product initiatives from ambiguous requirements through design, cross-team delivery, rollout, and ongoing operation.
  • Define evaluation frameworks, test harnesses, guardrails, observability, and review practices for agent-generated code.
  • Establish internal agentic engineering practices, tooling, playbooks, and training for engineering teams.
  • Own performance, reliability, security, and other non-functional requirements for the product area.
  • Address software supply chain threats including malicious packages, dependency confusion, provenance, and SBOM accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Product, Security Research, UX, and Support leaders to create shippable technical plans.
  • Conduct design reviews, mentor Senior engineers, and contribute to technical hiring standards.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Track record leading multi-quarter technical initiatives across multiple teams or services.
  • Hands-on experience designing, operating, and scaling long-running multi-agent systems in production.
  • Experience with tools or frameworks such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor background agents, custom orchestrators, LangGraph, and MCP.
  • Expertise in shared context and memory, agent handoffs, orchestration, evaluation harnesses, testing, and observability.
  • Strong experience with Java, AWS, Azure, or GCP, and large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with performance tuning, data-intensive services, and production operability at scale.
  • Working knowledge of software supply chain security, including CycloneDX, SPDX, SCA, SLSA, Sigstore/cosign, OSV, and NVD.
  • Ability to independently make product decisions and manage scope, trade-offs, and sequencing.
  • Experience defining or advancing agentic engineering practices through internal rollouts, publications, or open-source work.
