Description

  • Identify high-impact business opportunities to improve member outcomes and drive revenue growth.
  • Mentor and guide data scientists by promoting best practices, coding standards, and thorough documentation.
  • Develop, apply, and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems and inform product strategy.
  • Evaluate and interpret results of data analysis and present clear findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design and implement data collection and build production-level data pipelines and datasets.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate insights on a regular cadence.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, operations, finance, risk, legal, compliance, and executive teams to define objectives and prioritize features.
  • Act as a technical leader to help build reliable, efficient, and scalable data foundations and establish repeatable, documented approaches.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or above in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience using data-driven analysis to influence key business decisions, preferably in Tech or Finance.
  • Proven ability to work independently, proactively engage business stakeholders, and drive measurable business impact.
  • Experience using Airflow and dbt to build data pipelines in Snowflake.
  • Strong programming skills in SQL and Python.
  • Experience building data visualizations with Tableau, Looker, or other BI tools.
  • Knowledge of a variety of ML algorithms and experience deploying ML models at scale with monitoring metrics.
  • Strong foundation in statistics, A/B testing, and causal inference analysis.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex analyses simply to business leaders.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building, collaboration, attention to detail, and experience mentoring or leading less-experienced team members.
