Description

  • Design and develop robust data models and data pipelines for ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval.
  • Evaluate and select technologies, frameworks, and tools for scalable and reliable data infrastructure.
  • Optimize data engineering systems and processes to handle large-scale datasets efficiently.
  • Design data solutions that scale horizontally and vertically.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Enforce data governance policies and practices to maintain data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Work with data governance and security teams to implement data protection mechanisms and access controls.
  • Lead development of critical data pipelines and datasets.
  • Support self-service data knowledge and capabilities across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics technical strategy.
  • Proficiency with the data engineering tech stack, including Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Python, SQL, GitLab, AWS, Airflow, and DBT.
  • Proficiency in relational database platforms and cloud database platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or GCP.
  • Experience managing end-to-end data engineering projects, including planning, execution, and resource management.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools in data workflows, such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
  • Strong Python skills or experience with another data-centric language.
  • Thorough knowledge of data modeling, database design, data architecture principles, and data operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to simplify complex issues into actionable plans.
  • Fintech industry experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to travel up to 10–15%.
