Description

  • Use data analytics, automation techniques, and AI to improve SOX program execution, including risk assessments, testing, fraud risk detection, deficiency analysis, and monitoring.
  • Lead the SOX Data Analytics and AI program, including building the program structure and defining related policies and standards.
  • Translate business objectives into technical specifications for data analytics and automation projects in partnership with SOX and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead the integration of AI and automation tools to improve testing efficiency and enable continuous control monitoring.
  • Design and implement automated data pipelines, SQL queries, and data extraction scripts for evidence retrieval and control testing.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering/product development teams to build integrated solutions that meet business and internal control requirements.
  • Identify and drive process improvements through automation within the internal control environment.
  • Partner with other data analytics teams across the three lines of defense on shared data assets, code libraries, and harmonized risk and control reporting.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting for SOX program monitoring, including audit status, issue trends, resourcing, and budgeting.
  • Support reporting, ad hoc assignments, and other SOX-related matters as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5-7+ years of data analytics experience, including 2-3 years supporting internal audit or control teams.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other languages, including writing complex SQL queries to pull data.
  • Experience with business intelligence, data warehousing, and dashboarding tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, and PowerBI.
  • Ability to work independently and lead in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Understanding of data lineage and data integrity.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, strategic, project management, and organizing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, both written and oral.
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience is strongly preferred.
  • CPA and CIA/CISA certifications are strongly preferred.
  • FinTech, banking, or financial services experience focused on IT SOX, enterprise risk management, or ICFR controls consulting is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of IT/BP SOX, ICFR, COSO, and business process controls is preferred.
  • Experience performing SOX testing, including ITGCs, ITACs, manual controls, and key report testing, is preferred.
