Description

  • Review loan applications according to credit policies and procedures, including analyzing credit reports, income from multiple sources, and applicant documentation.
  • Handle both simple and complex financial profiles, including self-employed applications, across SoFi’s lending products.
  • Verify member identity and required regulatory documentation.
  • Document member interactions clearly using approved templates.
  • Conduct outbound outreach to applicants to help move applications through the funding process.
  • Use empathy, professionalism, problem-solving, and relationship management to support members.
  • Follow compliance and regulatory guidelines to protect sensitive information and meet member needs.
  • Work within a team of 15-20 members toward common goals.
  • Share insights on root causes of member inquiries, concerns, and complaints to help improve products, operations, and policies.
  • Maintain accurate loan system data and paperless loan documentation, and perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a contact center environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in financial services.
  • Strong connection to SoFi’s mission and values.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Google products, data visualization tools, customer service tools, and admin tools.
  • Self-starter who can make decisions and apply analytical skills to review tasks.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and apply new information quickly.
  • Ability to identify trends in spreadsheets, charts, and graphs and connect them to possible root causes.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with co-workers, management, and clients.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree desired.
  • Ability to work alternative schedules, including weekends, weekdays, evenings, and early mornings.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
