Description

  • Review loan applications according to credit policies and procedures, including analyzing credit reports, income sources, and supporting documents.
  • Work with both simple and complex financial profiles, including self-employed applicants.
  • Verify member identity and other required regulatory documentation.
  • Document member interactions clearly using approved templates when appropriate.
  • Conduct outbound outreach to applicants to help move applications through the funding process.
  • Use empathy, professionalism, and problem-solving skills to support member needs and manage relationships.
  • Follow compliance and regulatory guidelines to protect sensitive information and meet member needs.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of 15-20 members toward shared goals.
  • Share insights on root causes of member inquiries, concerns, and complaints and advocate for process improvements.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of internal processes to ensure accurate loan system data and complete paperless loan documentation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a contact center environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in financial services.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Strong connection to SoFi’s mission and values.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Google products, data visualization tools, customer service tools, and admin tools.
  • Ability to work alternative schedules, including weekends, weekdays, evenings, and early mornings.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Professional demeanor, high accuracy, strong attention to detail, and analytical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and apply new information quickly.
  • Ability to identify trends in spreadsheets, charts, and graphs and connect them to root causes.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with coworkers, management, and clients.
