Description

  • Collaborate with SoFi Engineering and other business units to support team and product success.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical and business meetings and help align implementation strategy.
  • Create rulesets within the decision engine and improve automation through CI/CD.
  • Apply software development experience across the full SDLC.
  • Use debugging and root cause analysis to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Work with technical and business leaders to develop rulesets efficiently.
  • Guide, train, coach, and supervise team members on best practices and improvement areas.
  • Track team performance metrics including bugs, velocity, and other delivery measures.
  • Provide insight into project timelines and support seamless strategy implementation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or AI/ML development.
  • Senior-level experience in Python and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in basic to complex SQL operations.
  • Strong debugging, technical problem-solving, and investigative skills.
  • Experience training and supervising team members.
  • Prior experience in financial services development is a plus.
  • Prior experience with a decision engine is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and techniques is preferred.
  • Strong drive to own the team and product.
