Description

  • Review loan applications according to credit policies and procedures by analyzing credit reports, income sources, and supporting documents.
  • Evaluate both simple and complex financial profiles, including self-employed applications.
  • Verify member identity and other required regulatory documentation.
  • Document member interactions clearly using approved templates where appropriate.
  • Conduct outbound outreach to applicants to move applications through to funding.
  • Apply empathy, professionalism, and problem-solving while managing member interactions.
  • Follow compliance and regulatory guidelines to protect sensitive information and meet member needs.
  • Work collaboratively within a team of 15-20 members toward shared goals.
  • Share insights on root causes of member inquiries, concerns, and complaints to help improve products, operations, and policies.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of internal processes, procedures, loan system data quality, and paperless loan documentation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a contact center environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in financial services.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Google products, data visualization tools, customer service tools, and administrative tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work alternative schedules, including weekends, weekdays, evenings, and early mornings.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and apply new information quickly.
  • Ability to identify trends in spreadsheets and charts/graphs and connect them to likely root causes.
  • Experience working with analytical decision-making and reviewing tasks (required).
  • Strong connection to SoFi’s mission and values.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with co-workers, management, and clients.
