Description

  • Lead and manage the assigned Solutions Architect team, including day-to-day direction, coaching, and escalation support.
  • Provide hands-on architecture leadership for strategic implementations and serve as lead architect when needed.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support delivery teams through office hours and technical escalation management.
  • Develop reusable playbooks, reference architectures, and scalable patterns to improve delivery speed and solution quality.
  • Introduce AI-driven approaches and other innovations to mature the architecture practice.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing, documentation, and delivery.
  • Support the development and implementation of technical roadmaps and business cases.
  • Participate as a voting member on the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
  • Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, hiring support, and onboarding for architects.
  • Define team goals, competencies, best practices, and performance metrics to maintain quality service and documentation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or enterprise platform delivery.
  • 3+ years of people leadership or team management experience, including mentoring and performance management.
  • Experience designing scalable enterprise systems.
  • Strong experience with cloud-native architecture and deployment practices, including Kubernetes, Helm charts, and AWS infrastructure.
  • Experience with distributed data platforms and messaging technologies such as Kafka or Pulsar.
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting data ingestion and processing pipelines, including ETL, real-time processing, and large-scale data systems.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, including FHIR, HL7 v2, and CDA.
  • Experience with enterprise databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Aurora.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with healthcare regulatory or payer interoperability initiatives such as CMS APIs, Prior Authorization, Payer-to-Payer exchange, or CCD workflows is an asset.
  • Formal architecture certifications such as TOGAF are considered an asset.
