Description

  • Configure and deploy AI tools according to Phase 1 engagement plans.
  • Build, test, and document automations and AI-assisted workflows using integration platforms.
  • Set up technical environments, including tenant configuration, user provisioning, API connections, integration testing, and QA validation.
  • Perform data mapping and light data migration tasks to support AI tool onboarding.
  • Maintain implementation logs, configuration notes, and handoff documentation in SMB Team’s systems.
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues, resolve technical blockers when possible, and escalate risks clearly to the Fractional CTO.
  • Contribute reusable templates, implementation checklists, and workflow SOPs to the practice library.
  • Stay current on legal AI tools and integration capabilities and surface relevant updates or options to the Fractional CTO.
  • Support pre-engagement scoping by assessing technical feasibility and estimating implementation effort.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a technical implementation, IT support, or automation engineering role.
  • Experience configuring and integrating SaaS tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environments and API-based integrations.
  • Proficiency with at least one automation platform such as Make, Zapier, Power Automate, n8n, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM-based tools and configuring them in a business context.
  • Prior exposure to legal tech is a plus but not required.
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce SOPs, configuration guides, and implementation logs.
  • Comfort working from a scoping document or engagement plan without step-by-step direction.
  • Basic understanding of data privacy and security considerations for cloud and AI deployments.
  • Ability to independently execute technical implementation work from a spec or engagement plan.
  • Ability to communicate blockers and risks promptly and clearly to the Fractional CTO.
  • Willingness to learn new AI tools and integration platforms quickly.
  • Ability to work within shared systems and contribute to team playbooks.
  • No direct client communication responsibility; work must still be polished enough for client review by the Fractional CTO.
