Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of senior data engineers.
  • Design and implement new data pipeline architectures, patterns, and reusable frameworks.
  • Architect scalable data solutions using dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, AWS, and Python.
  • Establish development standards for code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
  • Develop advanced data models and transformations using dbt.
  • Partner with Product, Clinical, Data Science, and Software Engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Build automated data quality, monitoring, and observability frameworks.
  • Create developer productivity tools and accelerators to improve delivery speed and quality.
  • Drive technical design reviews, architectural decisions, and technology evaluations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of data engineering experience, including leadership of engineers and technical projects.
  • Deep expertise with advanced dbt development, Snowflake optimization, Python, and SQL at scale.
  • Strong AWS cloud architecture experience, including serverless and infrastructure-as-code patterns.
  • Proven experience building and scaling data platforms for analytics, ML, and product features.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, testing, code reviews, and agile development practices.
  • Ability to balance technical innovation, technical debt, performance optimization, and feature delivery.
  • Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
  • Experience working with healthcare datasets and their contextual and relational complexities.
  • Experience at a scale-up or rapid-growth technology company is preferred.
  • Advanced Snowflake features experience such as streams, tasks, dynamic tables, or data sharing is preferred.
  • Infrastructure-as-code proficiency with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform is preferred.
  • ML engineering experience, including feature stores, model deployment, or MLOps, is preferred.
  • Healthcare interoperability knowledge such as HL7, FHIR, or CCD/C-CDA is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Snowflake SnowPro Advanced, AWS Data Analytics or Solutions Architect Professional, dbt, or CHDA/RHIA are preferred.
  • Experience building data mesh architectures or domain-driven data platforms is preferred.

  • Base salary of $190,000 to $220,000.
