Description

  • Deliver priority roadmap features across frontend and backend systems.
  • Develop and maintain applications using Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
  • Support and enhance NHS and third-party integrations.
  • Contribute to scalable, reusable platform architecture.
  • Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure, with a preference for AWS.
  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
  • Improve monitoring, logging, and system observability.
  • Strengthen deployment reliability, platform stability, and secure coding practices.
  • Support compliance alignment with standards such as GDPR and ISO27001.
  • Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
  • Manage multiple concurrent workstreams and prioritize effectively in a lean team environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in full stack software engineering.
  • Strong experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps or platform engineering, including CI/CD, infrastructure management, and deployment processes.
  • Experience working in cloud-native environments, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with automated testing and test-first development approaches.
  • Experience improving monitoring, logging, and overall system observability.
  • Proven experience improving platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Experience in fast-paced scale-up or startup environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and work with high autonomy.
  • Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Nice to have: experience with healthcare platforms or regulated environments, including NHS exposure.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with MySQL, AWS CDK, GitHub Actions, Amplify, Cognito, ECS, Docker, and Lambda.
  • Nice to have: experience with multi-AZ resilient distributed systems.
  • Nice to have: experience contributing to ISO27001 or GDPR compliance initiatives.
  • Nice to have: exposure to data platforms, health data, or connected device ecosystems.
