Description

  • Develop and execute global fulfillment strategies to improve delivery performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction across U.S. and international markets.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for fulfillment operations, including delivery times, costs, and accuracy metrics.
  • Design and implement automated fulfillment processes, systems, and reports in collaboration with stakeholders across regions.
  • Track incoming shipments and analyze inventory levels against retailer on-hand quantities, sell-through, planned orders, and incoming shipments to identify gaps or surplus.
  • Communicate with retailer inventory teams on planned future orders and open shipments.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with 3PLs, transportation brokers, and outbound carriers, including FTL and LTL providers.
  • Manage 3PL fulfillment for wholesale accounts and create SOPs for each retailer.
  • Monitor order processing lead times, troubleshoot issues, and escalate critical problems such as missed appointments, missed ship dates, and late deliveries.
  • Oversee appointment booking with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and wholesale customers.
  • Execute EDI documents, including 850 Purchase Orders, 856 Advanced Ship Notices, and 810 Invoices, to ensure timely communication with retail customers.
  • Maintain NetSuite as the order management system of record and move orders through intake, warehouse allocation, and customer delivery stages.
  • Lead dispute resolution for shipment penalties, order errors, and other retailer-assigned fees by researching documentation and submitting materials through retailer portals.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across global fulfillment operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in retail fulfillment operations or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing fulfillment and delivery operations with 3PLs to retailers.
  • Proven experience managing fulfillment for Costco, Walmart, and Sam’s Club.
  • Experience with outbound transportation management and broker/carrier negotiations.
  • Proficiency using warehouse management systems.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making ability.
  • Excellent project management skills with experience leading cross-cultural teams.
  • Experience managing fulfillment for Best Buy or Target is a plus.
  • MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with major ERP systems and fulfillment automation platforms is preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification or similar process improvement qualifications are preferred.
  • Multi-lingual capabilities are preferred.
  • Experience with e-commerce fulfillment operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of emerging fulfillment technologies and innovations is preferred.
  • Track record of successful change management in complex organizations is preferred.
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives in logistics operations is preferred.
