Description

  • Lead and develop a pod of Licensing Associates or Senior Associates by setting priorities, reviewing work, providing feedback, and managing performance.
  • Direct virtual-assistant capacity through work allocation, training, quality assurance, and performance monitoring.
  • Own licensing programs end to end, including requirements research, applications, status tracking, issue resolution, renewals, and reporting.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, operating cadences, quality controls, documentation standards, escalation paths, and audit-ready records.
  • Use operational metrics to manage capacity, throughput, timeliness, quality, provider experience, and execution risk.
  • Investigate regulatory and operational issues, make tradeoffs, and resolve blockers while escalating material risks.
  • Design scalable workflows and recommend tooling, automation, and ownership improvements with cross-functional partners.
  • Evaluate in-house and external operating models and implement appropriate controls.
  • Communicate decisions, ownership, deadlines, risks, and next steps to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coach team members and build their capabilities as owners and future leaders.

Requirements

  • Approximately 5–9 years of experience in provider licensing, healthcare operations, provider operations, or a related field.
  • Experience with state licensing requirements and application and renewal processes for Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Therapists.
  • Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including prioritization, work direction, feedback, performance management, and team development.
  • Experience owning complex operational programs with strict quality, compliance, documentation, and deadline requirements.
  • Ability to use metrics to manage capacity, throughput, quality, timeliness, and execution risk.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain regulatory and operational issues clearly.
  • Technical proficiency and experience improving processes through tooling, automation, or Product and Engineering partnerships.
  • Flexibility and effectiveness in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred but not required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
