Description

  • Provide one-on-one customer support for Skylight Calendar and Frame customers from purchase through activation, setup, and ongoing use.
  • Handle high-volume customer interactions across phone, chat, email, and social media channels.
  • Support escalated issues involving complex hardware and software problems with Skylight devices.
  • Identify recurring patterns in tickets and customer feedback and share them with the team.
  • Partner with Customer Service Team Leads and provide coverage for core and troubleshooting teams as needed.
  • Contribute to project-based work that supports team goals and improves the customer experience.
  • Attend monthly in-person team-building workdays in Skylight’s Pittsburgh co-working office.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of high-volume, front-line customer service experience.
  • Experience supporting customers through email, phone, chat, and social media channels.
  • Experience with Zendesk or a similar CRM system.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, professional, and compassionate customer interactions.
  • Experience working in an agile startup environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and become a product expert.
  • A consistent, reliable Wi-Fi connection is required.
  • Comfort working on a Mac and using Slack.
  • Must reside in the Greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania region.
  • Must be available for nights and weekends, with priority given to candidates with the widest availability.
  • Must be available to schedule an in-person interview in Shadyside.
  • Experience supporting customers on social platforms such as Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit is preferred.
  • Experience with a direct-to-consumer or e-commerce brand is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a technical or digitally connected product is preferred.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $20/hour.
  • Part-time schedule with 16 to 29 hours per week.
  • 64 hours of accrued sick time annually.
  • Loaned laptop provided upon hire.
  • Loaned Skylight Calendar provided upon hire.
