Description

  • Provide senior technical leadership for the architecture, design, and delivery of AI-driven game technologies from research through production integration.
  • Partner with game, engine, and creative leadership to define and execute a multi-title AI technology roadmap.
  • Lead exploration of AI applications in games, including NPC behavior, player modeling, procedural systems, generative content, and intelligent tooling.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team focused on AI systems, gameplay intelligence, and developer-facing tools.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, technical excellence, and collaboration within the team.
  • Transform research and prototypes into scalable, production-ready technologies that improve player experiences and development workflows.

Requirements

  • Proven technical leadership with the ability to architect systems and execution plans for complex, multi-team technology initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of the game development lifecycle, including current production challenges and opportunities for AI-driven innovation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain advanced AI and systems concepts to non-technical partners.
  • Experience guiding R&D efforts while maintaining a clear path to production-ready solutions.
  • Shipped multiple titles using Unreal Engine in a senior or lead technical role.
  • Several years of experience building, leading, and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience developing new game technologies, including AI systems, gameplay frameworks, or developer tools.
  • Background in applied AI/ML for games or interactive systems is strongly preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $230,000 to $250,000 for Los Angeles-based candidates.
  • Salary may vary based on location, qualifications, experience, and relevant expertise.
  • Full-time remote role with hybrid flexibility indicated by the posting.
  • Opportunity to work on major franchise projects across interactive entertainment.
  • Potential total compensation package includes bonus and benefits, in addition to base salary.
