Description

  • Partner with Business Unit Leads and merchant portfolios to identify decisioning-performance gaps and implement solutions.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain production machine-learning models that detect fraud.
  • Develop automation to reduce repetitive manual work.
  • Run experiments to identify effective decisioning strategies while balancing complexity and performance.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to Customer Success, Sales, and occasional external customers.
  • Write production and offline analytical code in Python.
  • Work with distributed data pipelines and analytics environments using Spark, Databricks, and GCP.
  • Participate in peer review, knowledge sharing, and end-to-end evaluation of experiments and code.
  • Participate in the weekend on-call rotation, currently approximately six weekends per year.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or a comparable analytical field.
  • 3+ years of post-undergraduate work experience.
  • Strong machine-learning and statistical background.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write and review Python code in a shared codebase.
  • Practical SQL knowledge.
  • Experience designing experiments and collecting data.
  • Experience with distributed analytics and data tools such as Spark and Databricks.
  • Experience with fraud, payments, or e-commerce is preferred.
  • Experience with distributed data analysis, production A/B testing, AI coding agents, or automation is preferred.
  • Passion for writing well-tested, production-grade code is preferred.
  • Advanced degree is preferred.
