Description

  • Partner with Business Unit Leads and merchant portfolios to identify decisioning performance gaps and implement solutions.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain production machine learning models for fraud detection.
  • Develop automation to reduce repetitive manual work.
  • Design and run experiments to optimize decisioning strategies while balancing complexity and performance.
  • Communicate complex analytical and machine learning concepts to internal teams and occasional external customers.
  • Write production and offline analytical code in Python and review code in a shared codebase.
  • Work with distributed data pipelines and analytics tools across Spark, Databricks, and GCP.
  • Own the end-to-end development, deployment, and evaluation of hypotheses and experiments.
  • Participate in peer reviews, paper studies, demos, documentation, and cross-team knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in the weekend on-call rotation, currently approximately six weekends per year.Ï

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable analytical field.
  • 3+ years of post-undergraduate work experience.
  • Strong machine learning and statistical background.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency writing and reviewing Python code in a shared codebase.
  • Practical SQL knowledge.
  • Experience designing experiments and collecting data.
  • Experience with distributed analytics and data tools such as Spark and Databricks.
  • Previous experience in fraud, payments, or e-commerce (preferred).
  • Experience with distributed data analysis, production A/B testing, AI coding agents, automation, or advanced academic study (preferred).
