Description

  • Own the API product area responsible for simple and flexible server-side payment APIs.
  • Maintain and evolve existing APIs, including v1/payments, while enabling future features and functionality.
  • Drive the API product roadmap to meet business goals, KPIs, and customer experience targets.
  • Deliver a Partner Portal, Developer Portal, module catalog, and related Partner APIs.
  • Design APIs for externalization from the start and support partner integration use cases.
  • Partner with customers, partners, and internal teams to define product needs and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver an end-to-end experience.
  • Lead feature definition and prioritization using data analytics, product metrics, user research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder input.
  • Provide product vision, use cases, requirements, and documentation to support UX, development, and operations.
  • Prepare and present executive updates on product performance, delivery status, and roadmap progress.
  • Build and mentor a world-class product management team.

Requirements

  • Experience building developer-facing products and understanding the developer persona.
  • Experience evaluating and improving developer touchpoints such as documentation, portals, sandboxes, and internal/external tools.
  • Broad understanding of API design principles and end-to-end integration experience from a developer perspective.
  • Comfortable using and demoing APIs, including making JSON requests and working with Postman or cURL.
  • Experience building KPIs and metrics for developer interactions, including concepts such as Time to First Hello World (TTFHW).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong technical fluency to communicate with developers and translate their needs into product strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Experience leading product managers or building product teams is preferred.
