Description

  • Perform monthly analysis of transportation initiatives and explain key performance drivers and variances to plan to senior management.
  • Collaborate with partners to report weekly performance and provide outlook on transportation costs and margin trends.
  • Manage relationships with the Transportation team to build bottom-up forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives.
  • Prepare the annual operating plan and convert transportation plans and targets into the financial budget.
  • Create monthly and quarterly financial reporting presentations for investors and the board.
  • Analyze operational business metrics and develop margin analysis for business partners.
  • Improve models, procedures, files, and processes through continuous improvement and automation.
  • Work with management on strategic initiatives and provide solutions to business needs.
  • Network with stakeholders across the company to align on objectives and support execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3PL or relevant transportation experience required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or a related field.
  • Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to different stakeholders.
  • High comfort level with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite, Smartview, SQL, PowerBI, and Power Query is preferred.
  • Ability to build partnerships with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive self-starter who can meet deadlines under time constraints and work with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think critically, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
