Description

  • Build performant, scalable, and sustainable mobile application architecture and software.
  • Develop dynamic, responsive, and high-quality mobile interfaces using React Native and related technologies.
  • Support and resolve critical mobile technology incidents, including debugging with tools such as Sentry, Flipper, and React Native Debugger.
  • Contribute to technology architecture, scalability, security, and performance initiatives.
  • Lead React Native upgrades and manage version migrations, stability, and dependency compatibility.
  • Work within agile software engineering practices and defined project management and security guidelines.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to mobile engineers and other team members.
  • Contribute technical input to the product team and roadmap discussions.
  • Deliver high-quality hands-on engineering work aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Participate in code reviews and pair programming, including leading technical review sessions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mobile development using React Native.
  • Proven track record of leading mobile development initiatives while remaining hands-on in coding.
  • Strong experience with React Native and its ecosystem, including React Navigation, Redux, React Query, or TanStack Query.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Experience building performant, responsive, cross-platform applications for iOS and Android.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox.
  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
  • Strong experience identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing mobile applications at scale.
  • Experience upgrading React Native versions and managing complex dependency changes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as CircleCI and Fastlane.
  • Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience working in teams of 3 or more developers and elevating team capability.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead architectural and team discussions.
  • Experience with native iOS/Android development is a plus.
  • Knowledge or interest in Vue.js, Serverless, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails is a plus.
