Description

  • Interpret and enter prescriptions accurately.
  • Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and clinicians as needed.
  • Label and fill prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
  • Perform pharmaceutical calculations and prepare medications for delivery.
  • Identify medications requiring special storage or handling, including hazardous and refrigerated products.
  • Assemble supplies needed for select medications and patient deliveries.
  • Answer, resolve, and triage inbound patient and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Provide outbound therapy and medication adherence check-ups.
  • Secure refill prescriptions and assist patients with insurance and financial assistance issues.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering and receiving drug stock.
  • Communicate with patients by phone to improve medication awareness and support care coordination.
  • Input and manage data, adjudicate test claims, prepare follow-up plans, and support process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Registered pharmacy technician with the State of employment; Florida registration is specified.
  • Ability to obtain or update required certification within a mutually agreed upon timeframe if needed.
  • 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience required.
  • 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
  • Strong phone communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use database applications and extract relevant information.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, dependable, quality-focused, empathetic, and able to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
