Description

  • Make outbound phone calls to eligible patients to grow the specialty pharmacy patient population and enroll them in Shields Partner Pharmacy.
  • Educate patients about the services offered by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program.
  • Communicate with patients by phone and explain the value of using Shields Partner Pharmacy care model.
  • Access patient EMRs and review chart notes before outbound calls to understand each patient’s condition and situation.
  • Identify medications that require special storage or handling, including hazardous and refrigerated medications.
  • Identify needed supplies for select medications, such as sharps containers, needles, syringes, alcohol swabs, and band-aids.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect Shields’ values when handling patient information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Active national pharmacy certification is required to be considered.
  • Role requires working East Coast hours.
  • 0-1 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • PTCB or ExCPT license/certification is strongly preferred.
  • Must commit to obtaining required licensure within a mutually agreed upon timeframe if needed.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including typical weekday shifts from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with occasional Saturday coverage from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Prior customer service experience or outbound call experience is preferred.
