Description

  • Proactively coordinate medication refills, including data entry and pharmacy claim adjudication.
  • Make outbound patient refill calls and complete refill requests.
  • Answer, resolve, and triage inbound inquiries from patients, providers, and pharmacy team members.
  • Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and/or clinicians as needed.
  • Identify medications requiring special storage or handling, including hazardous and refrigerated medications.
  • Manage, organize, and update data using database applications.
  • Apply observations and recommendations to improve operations, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
  • Identify trends, resolve problems, recommend improvements, and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a communication point between patients, pharmacy liaisons, clinical providers, and internal teams.
  • Protect confidential and sensitive information and maintain professionalism in patient interactions.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician and with adjudicating claims.
  • State registration as a pharmacy technician is required.
  • National certification as a CPhT or equivalent is strongly preferred but not required.
  • If state registration is unavailable in the candidate's state of residence, national certification is required at time of hire.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience managing refills, specialty pharmacy, working with clinical care teams, and working remotely is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and phone communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to quickly learn new programs and adapt to proprietary tools and workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including an early start as early as 7:45 AM/8:00 AM EST and overtime as needed.
  • Must have a high-speed, stable internet connection and a distraction-free remote workspace.
  • Must be able to use two company-provided monitors and keep camera on for most meetings.
