Description

  • Handle inbound pharmacy calls and place outbound patient refill calls.
  • Guide patients through the complete medication refill process.
  • Coordinate prescription refills, including data entry and pharmacy claim adjudication.
  • Perform prescription status checks and resolve adjudication issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, pharmacists, clinicians, payors, and internal teams.
  • Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and clinicians as needed.
  • Identify medications requiring special handling, such as refrigerated or hazardous items.
  • Accurately update patient and prescription data across systems.
  • Identify recurring issues, recommend process improvements, and support quality initiatives.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patient and healthcare data.

Requirements

  • National CPhT certification is required.
  • State-registered Pharmacy Technician status is required or must be obtainable with national certification.
  • Willingness to obtain any additional required licensure within an agreed timeframe.
  • 1–3 years of pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
  • Experience with refill management is preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacy claim adjudication is preferred.
  • Specialty pharmacy exposure is preferred.
  • Experience working with clinical care teams is preferred.
  • Remote or call-center pharmacy experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
  • Strong phone presence, patient communication, organization, multitasking, and attention to detail are required.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and workflows is required.
  • Must be able to work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday between 7am and 7pm EST, with weekends as needed.
  • Must have a dedicated desk setup, two company-provided monitors, high-speed reliable internet, and a quiet distraction-free workspace.
  • Willingness to work overtime as patient care volumes fluctuate.
  • Ability to keep the camera on for most meetings with leaders and teammates.
