Description

  • Own product features end to end, from problem understanding and experience design to front-end implementation and user delivery.
  • Prototype ideas in code to replace static mockups and validate concepts quickly with real customer feedback.
  • Work in a fixed-time, variable-scope product development environment focused on outcomes and impact.
  • Collaborate closely with backend and core engineering teams to deliver meaningful product improvements.
  • Ship production-ready experiences quickly while maintaining a high standard of design and code quality.
  • Evolve the design system and component libraries to keep design and code aligned across mobile and web platforms.
  • Support and elevate the design team by helping designers ship code and incorporate AI tools into their workflows.
  • Define problems, make decisions, and drive work to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate design decisions and technical tradeoffs clearly across design and engineering.

Requirements

  • Proven hybrid experience delivering real products with responsibility for both design and implementation.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as React Native, Node, TypeScript, or Vue.js.
  • A portfolio showcasing live products you have designed and built, not only mockups.
  • Strong product judgment and a clear understanding of what makes an experience intuitive, fast, and enjoyable.
  • Deep understanding of modern front-end development constraints and opportunities.
  • Ability to create performant, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
  • A builder mindset with the ability to self-direct and move work forward with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating design decisions and engineering tradeoffs.
  • Passion for Bitcoin, financial empowerment, and the future of money.
  • English fluency is required.
  • Experience using AI tools to prototype, iterate, or accelerate workflow is preferred.

  • Base salary starting at CAD $150,000+, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

  • Remote-friendly work from anywhere in Canada, with optional access to offices in Montreal and Toronto.
  • Annual CAD $2,000 budget for courses, certifications, and training.
  • 20 days of vacation per year, plus a CAD $1,000 bonus if all vacation days are used.
  • Paid parental leave top-up to 100% of salary for 18 weeks.
