Description

  • Build and maintain new product features while learning new areas of the platform.
  • Collaborate with engineers and feature owners to design, develop, and deliver new functionality.
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions for next-generation platform features.
  • Contribute to code reviews and work directly in the codebase.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team members early in their careers.
  • Help build and deploy scalable solutions with the team.
  • Assist with project planning, estimations, and delivery with stakeholders.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to production incidents.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience in a mid-level software development role.
  • Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred, or equivalent related experience.
  • Experience with modern frontend development; React experience preferred.
  • Ability to solve problems using backend-focused languages such as Go or another statically typed compiled language.
  • Intermediate understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
  • Preferred knowledge of automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Preferred familiarity with RESTful API design and basic microservice architecture.
  • Preferred familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodologies, and release processes.
