Description

  • Provide end-to-end service management for telecom services, including information and communication technology services.
  • Process and track user requests for local and long-distance phone services supporting critical life safety systems.
  • Analyze existing network infrastructure and equipment to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Support installations, relocations, moves, and changes to engineered telecommunications infrastructure solutions.
  • Work with customers and service providers to resolve service degradations, outages, incidents, and service requests.
  • Review circuit order tickets, update progress, and keep customers informed throughout delivery.
  • Coordinate site surveys, vendor meetings, repairs, rescheduling, and transitions with GSA points of contact.
  • Gather, document, and evaluate technical and business telecom requirements and recommend cost-effective solutions aligned to GSA IT standards.
  • Review site surveys, bill of materials, and provisioning plans for quality, accuracy, and alignment to requirements.
  • Coordinate testing and confirmation after installations or transitions to verify services and lines are working.
  • Support telecom inventory migration into ServiceNow and verify accuracy of records.
  • Escalate issues to vendors, third parties, and support groups as needed, while guiding onsite or remote technicians.

Requirements

  • Public Trust clearance by the start date.
  • ITILv4 Foundation Training and ITILv4 Foundation Certification, which may be obtained within 120 days after hire.
  • 2 to 7 years of experience plus a bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to work independently in a full or partial remote environment with limited supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form with all levels of staff and clients.
  • Ability to maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and be available for meetings during working hours.
  • Working knowledge of building demarcations (demarcs) and telecommunication rooms (TRs), including house pairs, risers, and building wiring infrastructure.
  • Ability to design or configure voice, video, and data communications systems.
  • Ability to supervise installation and post-installation service and maintenance.
  • Preferred familiarity with ServiceNow and Conexus platforms.
  • Preferred understanding of POTS, fire and elevator safety lines, VoIP, demarcation points, and termination concepts such as punchdown, bridges, and CSU/DSU.
  • Preferred proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack, and ServiceNow.
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including holidays as scheduled.
  • Experience working remotely with strong time management, self-discipline, cultural change management, and an Agile mindset.
