Description

  • Manage LAN infrastructure, including access points, wireless LAN controllers, and integration into Software Defined Access environments.
  • Oversee switch provisioning and deployment across multiple sites, including cutover logistics and change management.
  • Establish monitoring for newly installed and replaced network equipment.
  • Support and operate Software-Defined Wide Area Network sites.
  • Maintain network equipment and configurations for routers and routing.
  • Use network orchestration tools to enable automated, consistent configuration, testing, deployment, and operations of physical and virtual network devices.
  • Track routing interface status, bandwidth utilization, and inbound/outbound traffic statistics for LAN and WAN circuits.
  • Provide technical consulting, direction, and problem-solving support for network and related systems issues.
  • Perform provisioning and configuration of switches and routers, including support for vulnerability patching and IOS upgrades.
  • Generate and update network documentation, knowledge base articles, and SOPs, and prepare written and oral reports.

Requirements

  • Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain it.
  • ITILv4 Foundation certification within 120 days of start date.
  • 7-12 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous experience with vulnerability patching and IOS upgrades.
  • Previous experience supporting and operating SD-WAN sites.
  • Ability to design and develop solutions to complex application, system administration, and network problems.
  • Experience performing systems management and integration functions.
  • Ability to work independently in a full and/or partial remote environment with limited supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for working with staff and clients at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and participate in meetings and collaborative efforts during working hours.
  • Experience as a remote worker with strong time management, self-discipline, cultural change management, and an Agile mindset.
  • Preferred: CCNP or CCNA certification.
  • Preferred: Proficiency with wireless survey software such as Ekahau for survey functions and network engineering/architecture based on survey data.
  • Preferred: Proficiency configuring BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routes.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with SD-WAN architectures such as VMware VeloCloud.
  • Preferred: Experience designing network architecture for Software Defined Access / Software Defined Networks using Cisco Catalyst Center.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows, ServiceNow, SolarWinds network monitoring systems, Cisco Prime, LAN/WAN control protocols, and Cisco SDA.
  • Preferred: Proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, and ServiceNow.
  • Preferred: Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including holidays as scheduled.
