Description

  • Review technical training scripts, lesson plans, and sequence of operations documentation for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with operating procedures.
  • Validate training assessments to ensure they measure competency and operational readiness at the appropriate technician levels.
  • Identify gaps, outdated materials, and inconsistencies across the training library and drive content updates.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and learning and development teams to align training content with business objectives and the operational maturity model.
  • Review vendor technical bulletins and product updates for their impact on operations and training requirements.
  • Work with equipment vendors and internal engineering stakeholders to ensure vendor-specific content is accurate and properly contextualized.
  • Provide clear, constructive written and verbal feedback on technical and training documentation to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support standardization of training content across sites while accommodating site-specific requirements where needed.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience as a data center technician, ideally in a hyperscale, enterprise, or colocation environment.
  • Working knowledge of critical infrastructure systems, including electrical distribution, mechanical cooling, and associated monitoring and control systems.
  • Solid understanding of system design and sequence of operations (SOO).
  • Familiarity with data center best practices for safety, security, availability, and reliability.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, usable content for technicians at varying experience levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to give direct, constructive feedback on documentation.
  • Comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including technicians, engineers, trainers, vendors, and leadership.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, governance, and operational risk.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and safety-focused approach.
  • Experience reviewing technical documents or training content is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30-40% to Serverfarm data center sites across the US.
