Description

  • Develop scientific copy for a variety of deliverables on assigned brands and products.
  • Work independently and with medical writers and directors to produce scientifically accurate content.
  • Understand medical strategy and content objectives for assigned projects and accounts.
  • Review current literature and competitor products for assigned therapeutic areas.
  • Follow AMA and client style guidelines.
  • Verify, annotate, and source references for medical review.
  • Manage project workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients and KOLs to present work for review and incorporate feedback.
  • Attend kickoff, status, and other project meetings.
  • Collaborate with creative and illustration teams to make scientific data visually compelling and accurate.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree such as MD, PhD, or PharmD is required.
  • Up to 1 year of medical writing experience in a medical communications agency is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FDA, AMA, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Strong scientific foundation with the ability to quickly learn therapeutic areas and therapies.
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines on time and on budget.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative with cross-functional team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and reference managers.
  • Must be able to work Eastern US hours.
