Description

  • Lead the design and development of features across the full stack, from React frontend applications to backend services, APIs, and data layers.
  • Own features end-to-end from browser to database in a complex enterprise product.
  • Work closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to define user needs and deliver solutions.
  • Make technical decisions that result in high-quality, reliable software.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers through code review, pairing, and technical leadership.
  • Introduce new technologies and approaches and help the team adopt them effectively.
  • Identify areas for improvement, reduce technical debt, and address bugs promptly.
  • Collaborate across teams to communicate feature rationale, user pain points, and product impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience, in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience for Staff level or 10+ years for Principal level in software development.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Expertise in one or more backend JVM languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
  • Experience working with databases such as Postgres.
  • Experience building large frontend applications with React or TypeScript is preferred.
  • Ability to work across frontend and backend codebases and own features end-to-end.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Proven leadership ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Authorization to work in the country of residence; no US F1 or H-1B sponsorship.
