Description

  • Lead design and development of features spanning frontend, backend, APIs, and data layers.
  • Own features end-to-end from browser experience through database implementation.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Engineering, and customers to understand needs and deliver user-focused solutions.
  • Make sound technical decisions and ship polished, reliable software through continuous delivery.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical leadership.
  • Advocate for testing, continuous integration, clean architecture, and reduction of technical debt.
  • Identify improvement opportunities independently and drive them through completion.
  • Evaluate and introduce technologies, including effective applications of AI in software development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience for Staff level or 10+ years for Principal level designing and evolving complex software systems.
  • Expertise in a JVM backend language such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
  • Strong experience building large frontend applications with React and TypeScript; Tailwind or similar modern tooling preferred.
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, distributed systems, and cloud platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively across frontend and backend codebases and own features end-to-end.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban.
