Description

  • Lead an application team squad and own technical architecture decisions for the team.
  • Design and build robust, scalable, well-tested systems and contribute directly to the codebase.
  • Translate product goals into scoped technical roadmaps and help sequence and prioritize work.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to identify capacity and technical constraints.
  • Serve as a technical multiplier through mentoring, deep code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Evaluate and apply AI capabilities such as RAG, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering when they add value.
  • Establish engineering best practices and evaluation frameworks for accuracy-critical features.
  • Ensure LLM-backed systems are dependable and deterministic.
  • Work with engineering leadership to execute on the roadmap and ship production systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including time as both an individual contributor and a technical lead or mentor.
  • Built and shipped something using LLMs in production or a deeply realized personal project.
  • Understanding of RAG, prompt engineering, or agentic frameworks.
  • Active use of AI tools for code generation, debugging, documentation, or research.
  • Deep proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and/or graph databases.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and backend web development, including REST APIs.
  • Experience shipping and managing software in cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Track record of rigorous code reviews and disciplined testing practices.
  • Preferred: experience with graph databases and query optimization for large-scale data.
  • Preferred: experience working on both front end and back end code bases.
  • Preferred: experience with container orchestration via Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: interest in data visualization for large, complex datasets.
  • Preferred: exposure to batch processing frameworks like Spark.

  • Target base salary of $200,000-$225,000 USD, plus annual bonus and equity.
