Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend components for lending solutions built on ABAP and related SAP technologies.
  • Build high-quality standard software in an agile environment while collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Partner with front-end developers, designers, and product owners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the platform.
  • Ensure engineering excellence through structured testing, clean code practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Stay current with innovations in S/4HANA, RAP, and SAP BTP.
  • Share expertise with junior colleagues and support their learning and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in ABAP object-oriented development.
  • Proficiency in OData, Core Data Services (CDS), and ABAP RESTful Application Programming (RAP) is mandatory.
  • Practical experience with SAP BTP, including services, deployment approach, and integration concepts.
  • Familiarity with modern SAP development tools such as Business Application Studio (BAS), Eclipse, and Visual Studio is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down technical complexity.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience in the financial sector is a plus.
  • Experience with banking products and processes, such as retail lending and regulatory reporting, is nice to have.
  • Full-stack experience with SAP UI5 and Fiori is nice to have.
  • Some experience with SAP HANA DB is nice to have.
  • Exposure to event-driven architecture and integration patterns on SAP BTP is nice to have.
  • Experience working in agile environments such as Scrum or SAFe and in international teams is nice to have.
