Description

  • Own and continuously enhance the Workday Benefits module to ensure scalable and efficient configuration.
  • Design, build, test, and deploy Open Enrollment configurations end-to-end.
  • Build, modify, and optimize custom Workday reports related to Benefits and HCM.
  • Translate business requirements into Workday solutions by partnering cross-functionally with Benefits, HR, Payroll, Finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Scope, prioritize, and manage Workday releases in the Benefits space.
  • Partner with developers and vendors to enhance Workday Benefits integrations, troubleshoot issues, and improve benefits data flows.
  • Review proposed system changes to identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization.
  • Triage and configure Workday enhancements or fixes for HCM, Compensation, Payroll, and reporting.
  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements with People Operations teams for programs executed through Workday.
  • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles while scaling global People systems and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years professional experience working for fast-growing, global companies.
  • 4+ years of Workday configuration experience, with at least 2+ years configuring the Workday Benefits module.
  • 2+ years experience configuring core HCM.
  • Experience with Workday business process configuration, security, and organization configuration.
  • Experience with Workday HCM, Benefits, and Core HCM modules across U.S. and international locations.
  • Experience writing and executing test scenarios for system implementations and enhancements.
  • Experience leading and configuring Compensation grids for the annual review process.
  • Strong understanding of Benefits best practices, HR processes, and compliance, with experience documenting and analyzing requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and prioritization, and the ability to prioritize workload and deliver enhancements or fixes on time with appropriate timelines and change management documentation.
  • Preferred: Workday certifications; experience with Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking; knowledge of employment compliance/legal best practices; experience with Jira, Zendesk, and other integrations to Workday; note: remote role open to U.S. residents excluding specified states/metros per posting.
