Description

  • Negotiate and close commercial contracts with European and other customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Develop and scale commercial contracting workflows in Europe, including form agreements, tools, and process improvements.
  • Support legal matters related to privacy, employment, regulatory, corporate, product, and compliance topics as needed.
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Partnerships, Finance, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, People, Operations, and Customer Support teams on strategic initiatives.
  • Provide legal advice on a wide range of issues, projects, and initiatives across the company.
  • Identify and manage complex legal risks while helping design cross-functional processes that enable the business to move quickly.
  • Build strong relationships with senior cross-functional stakeholders and act as a trusted business partner.
  • Help build a best-in-class legal function for the company in Europe.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally and across new offices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house role in the United Kingdom, including experience implementing and supporting complex scalable workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build, develop, and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
  • High professional integrity, ethics, and sound judgment.
  • Highly proactive self-starter who delivers quality work within tight timelines.
  • Humble, adaptable, and flexible, with a growth mindset and willingness to work on a variety of matters.
  • Law degree from a top university with strong academic credentials.
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister of good standing in England & Wales.
  • Based in the United Kingdom, preferably close to London.
  • Experience working for a technology company (preferred).
  • Experience working for a major international law firm (preferred).
  • Experience working for an international company (preferred).
  • Experience driving and supporting non-commercial legal projects and workflows (preferred).
  • Fluency in French, German, and/or Dutch (preferred).
