Description

  • Champion and model Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally.
  • Become an expert on Samsara’s IoT, AI, and computer vision products.
  • Articulate to prospects how businesses use Samsara to solve industry-specific challenges.
  • Lead discoveries, demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Guide installers through product installation scenarios and help build deployment plans.
  • Write and document scripts using the open API to solve customer problems.
  • Act as a consultant to customers to support integrations, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between product and sales teams by translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from a 4-year accredited university.
  • 2+ years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support role.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes and change management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Previous experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, and automation and control systems.
  • Must be located in and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or advanced education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Experience with task automation scripting and data transfer between systems using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or a similar language.
  • Preferred: Experience building solutions leveraging open APIs.
  • Preferred: Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and Power Take Off (PTO) applications.
  • Preferred: Hobbyist interest in electronic systems such as car audio installation, classic car restoration, home automation, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino.
  • Preferred: Track record of success selling complex technical solutions through strategic sales cycles.
